The whole process happens in 5 phases:
Phase 1: Gather relevant historical invoice data.
Phase 2: Analysis of each invoice.
Phase 3: When invoice errors occur a full investigation begins into the extent of the error including potential overcharging.
Phase 4: Notification of an error to the relevant supplier and negotiation of the required rebate.
Phase 5: Rebate funds transferred to the client.
The timescale for the audit process varies depending on data availability and the complexity of any errors. An initial summary report is supplied within ten working days giving details of any potential billing errors that require further attention.
