Voltage Power Optimisation (VPO)
Most electrical equipment in the UK is optimised for 220 volts and the standard 240 volt supply overloads the equipment - which shortens its life - and wastes expensive energy in the process. Voltage Power Optimisation equipment corrects the voltage (whilst also smoothing jagged peaks out of the supply) saving 10 to 15% of the total electricity cost and extending equipment life.
Our specialists provide this type of equipment to clients with electricity usage in excess of £12,000 pa. Preliminary tests ensure that the equipment will provide satisfactory savings throughout its fully warranted life. Major customers include Tesco, Hilton, University of Cambridge and Kent Count Council.
Finance schemes are available to ensure that the cost of the equipment is covered by the savings, so that the cash flow is positive throughout the project.
